What political accomplishments are you most proud of?

  1. Participating in a Board effort to get Del Mar Woods roads repaved ultimately through a federal stimulus grant.
  2. Leading a Board effort to set aside greater funding for community not-for-profits.
  3. Led Board effort to modernize Township website so that it showcases Township services.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

Writing two friend of court (amicus) briefs submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.

What are the three most important issues facing the West Deerfield Township Board of Trustees?

  1. The role of Township government.
  2. Allocating Township resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
  3. Responsiveness to the needs of residents in unincorporated areas.

How do you distinguish yourself from your opponent(s)?

The Democratic controlled Board over the past 8 years has done an excellent job of allocating a modest budget in a manner that most benefits the community. We fear that a Republican Township Board would cut back on services.

What is your professional background?

I have been an attorney since 1980. The focus of my practice for over 25 years has been employment law.

What is your educational background?

I received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois in 1977 and a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1980.

What other information would you like to share?

I look forward to a third term so that I can continue to assist in a transition to a new supervisor.
