Update: Dold Adds $356,831 to Campaign Fund
Deerfield consultant Brad Schneider has $450,000 on hand for March 20 primary.
(Update 5:30 p.m.) raised $356,831 for his reelection bid for the quarter ending Dec. 31 and now has $1.24 million in the bank, according to a campaign spokesperson.
Since being elected in November, 2010, Dold has accumulated $1.66 million, spending approximately $420,000 so far in his effort to retain the seat.
"I am pleased with the support our campaign is receiving from the residents of Illinois' 10th District,” Dold said. “We are gearing up for an exciting general election race and my supporters are engaged and enthusiastic about our campaign."

The race for the newly configured 10th Congressional District promises to be one of the most hotly contested in the country. It has already been by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Just as the Democratic nominee to be chosen in the March 20 primary will be getting help from the DCCC, Dold has been chosen as part of the Patriot Program by the National Republican Campaign Committee and will be getting national attention as well. Dold has no primary opponent.

(Earlier, 9:39 a.m.) raised more than $134,000 for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2011, for his Tenth Congressional District campaign in trying to unseat
Schneider is one of five candidates in the March 20 Democratic primary contending for his party’s nod to oppose Dold in the Nov. 6 general election.
Schneider raised more than $630,000 since beginning his effort in May, and has more than $450,000 in the bank.
Earlier this month, Waukegan community organizer and Long Grove business owner reported their fundraising efforts for the quarter.
Sheyman collected in excess of $180,000 for the period with more than $200,000 cash on hand. Tree, who entered the race in November, raised $101,000 with $80,000 on hand.
A spokesperson for the Dold campaign said the Congressman would release his financial report later Tuesday (Jan. 31).
The other Democratic candidates, Mundelein attorney and Hainesville mathematician , have not reported their efforts. All candidates must file by midnight Tuesday (Jan. 31).
