State's Attorney Now on Social Media

To be more transparent and give citizens easy access to news and announcements, Lake County State's Attorney Mike Nerheim has launched Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Lake County States Attorney’s Office has officially launched its Facebook and Twitter pages.

“In this era of the information age, these social media platforms are where so many government entities, businesses and individuals are increasingly getting their news, conducting their business, sharing their opinions, and living their lives. With these new channels, the Lake County Citizens will be able to obtain the information they need and are entitled to” said Lake County State’s Attorney Mike Nerheim.

The Twitter and Facebook pages will contain information about ongoing community events, events that the office has been involved in throughout the community, links to press releases, updates on happenings with in the state’s attorney’s office.

Most importantly, it will serve as the direct link between the media, the community and the state’s attorney’s office. Building our social network will give us the opportunity to share educational information and communicate with the public more than we have before, said Nerheim.

“Transparency between the state’s attorney’s office, the media and the community is very important to me as the state’s attorney. I want to ensure that the media and the community are fully aware of the public information that is occurring in the office. Our staff is involved in many positive community events, and they strive every day to seek justice. These are issues that are imperative for the public to become aware of.”

There is nothing historical about this house. The historical house was torn down in order to buildRead More a modern house which vaguely resembles the home that was owned by Lyman Wilmot. But calling this new construction "an important part of the history of Deerfield" is a travesty.

Mara, So sorry you feel this way. We feel that this really improves the neighborhood. Tried toRead More keep much of old structure, but Igor's rehab and lack of upkeep, made it impossible. couldn't even keep floors, all warped from water and walls full of mold. City did nothing to stop Igor from combining two distinct properties. I am having a champagne lunch Wed. June 19, 11:30 to 1:30. Would love for you to come and see the house. Maybe that will change your mind. Annette Kalcheim

Annette - my first statement was "beautiful house" so I have no qualms with your outcome -Read More however, this is a re-do, re-creation not the original house. But good luck! I am sure you will find a buyer quickly!
