West Deerfield Township Appoints New Clerk

Deerfield resident sworn into position.

Kristen Scott has been selected to be new clerk. Scott, a 23-year resident of Deerfield, was sworn into the position at the trustee’s board meeting on July 19.

Scott is filling the vacancy for outgoing clerk Robbie Boudreau until the April, 2013 election.

According to township officials, Scott’s primary duties include “serving as custodian of all records, books and papers of the township; acting as a local election authority, including accepting petitions and publishing notices; and serving as secretary of the township board of trustees.”

Her responsibilities also entail assisting “with a variety of services the township provides residents, including the general assistance program, passport services, voter registration, and the food pantry.”

Scott also serves on the township accessibility grant committee. She lives in Deerfield with her husband Andy and has two children.
