Whole Foods Gives Deerfield Park Foundation $3,734

Shoppers who bought goods from Deerfield grocery Dec. 5 will help educate the Village's youth.

People shopping at Whole Foods a month ago today did their part to help further the education of the Village’s youth and the Deerfield grocery store did its part Friday presenting a $3,734.20 check to the Deerfield Park Foundation.

Whole Foods agreed to donate five percent of its sales for the day to the Deerfield Park Foundation.

The money given to the Deerfield Park Foundation is earmarked for the Linda Gryziecki College/Post Secondary Institution Scholarship. The grant was given for the first time last year going to Deerfield High School graduate and University of Michigan sophomore Callie Wilbat.
