Apples and diabetes

How healthy it is to eat at least one apple a day

An apple provides 20 percent of the recommended daily amount of dietary fiber. Because it’s so rich in fiber, it helps control the blood-sugar level after a meal by slowing the rate of absorption of sugar into the blood. An apple a day as part of a healthy diet helps prevent pre-diabetes and keep diabetes well controlled.
