Stress and Immune

Few years after I started my skin care business I developed skin disease between my fingers. I also had scabs on my scalp. I went to see a dermatologist who said “you have psoriasis” the first question she asked me is “are you going through a tough time in your life?”  I was going through a divorce. I have learned through that experience how stress affects our bodies. We see a lot of clients struggling with skin care disorders as well as other immune disorders. I found a great article in PALEO magazine June/ July 2013 written by Liz Wolfe

I would like you to read paragraph from this article. Which is, a short review of what this article talks about.

But here’s the thing – there’s no reason to start stressing about paying for, driving to or making it through a yoga class to try to “task” yourself with yet another “activity” with the goal of achieving healthy skin or a balanced body. When stress relief becomes a task rather than an underlying current that helps guide your lifestyle, there’s actually very little true stress relief happing.

That’s the thing about stress relief; it can’t be a task, or one more thing to add to your list. It’s got to be the opposite, a non-task, something you enjoy that uplifts you without pressure or expectation. It’s the act of clearing or letting go, taking a few moments in the morning to breathe deeply, enjoying a moment of positivity, having a good stretch and standing, walking or even dancing a bit more, Hokey? Maybe. But completely worthwhile”.
