109 Students Display Art Saturday

Walden students have created a special African art exhibit.

Artwork created by students in the four elementary schools of will be on display from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at .

The annual art fair Saturday has been going on for 31 years. The efforts of students from Kipling, , and will on the walls for the two hours.

“This event is a highlight in the District every year,” District Communications Director Cathy Kedjidjian said. “Our art teachers choose exciting projects that really bring out the creative talent in the students; it's always amazing to see just how much of that talent there is in one place."

This year students from Walden will have a special African art exhibit. “We’re so excited,” Walden teacher Janet Conlin said of the international effort.
