Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to New Trier at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. 

The Bottom Line:      The Giants were able to get more shots and took advantage of Deerfield for the victory. 

Boys’ Water Polo 

The Final Score:        Highland Park 12, Deerfield 9 

Warriors Star Performer:    Kevin Ewing scored five goals.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Glenbrook South at 6 p.m. Tuesday. 

The Bottom Line:      A year ago the Giants and Warriors were teammates competing as a coop unit. This year they have their own teams adding something extra to an already intense rivalry. The Giants jumped off to a 7-2 lead and build the edge to 12-4 in the fourth quarter. That is when Ewing took control of the game, scored five goals and brought Deerfield to the brink of victory. The Warriors are 1-8 for the year and 1-5 in the Central Suburban League North Division.
