Warriors Star Performer: Kevin Ewing won the 200-yard individual medley in 1:56.17 and took second in the 100 backstroke (52.94) to qualify for the State Meet in both events. Ewing also joined with Chris Roberts, Mark Stern and Dan Perlovsky to place fourth in the 200 medley relay (1:38.86) giving Ewing three berths in the State Finals
Other Notable Warrior Performance: Roberts won the 50 freestyle (21.59) to earn a trip to the State Finals as an individual as did Sean Scarry with a victory in diving (458.6). Ryan Church was the runner-up diver (390.51) to earn an at large bid to State.

Who’s Next: Ewing, Roberts, Scarry, Church, Stern and Perlovsky head to the State Meet Friday and Saturday in Evanston.
The Bottom Line: All Warrior qualifiers put forth some of their best performances of the season to extend their year another week and compete for honors at the State Meet.
Boys’ Basketball

The Final Score: Lakes 65, Deerfield 45
Warriors Star Performer: Mack Watts scored 16 points as well as getting a pair of rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Other Notable Warrior Performance: Alex Sacks added 11 points, grabbed two rebounds and dished out two assists.
Who’s Next: The Warriors entertain Niles West at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Bottom Line: Deerfield stayed close in the first half trailing 16-15 at the end of the first quarter and 28-24 at the intermission before Lakes took a nine point edge, 44-33, at the end of three periods and pulling away in the final stanza.
