Boys’ Track Team Celebrates Senior Day

All seniors honored before triangular meet.

The Final Score:        No team score was kept in the triangular meet with Glenbrook North and Northside Prep from Chicago. 

Warriors Star Performers:  Donald Middlebrook won the pole vault and was part of three winning relays (4x100, 4x200 and 4x400). Danny Katz (110-meter high hurdles and long jump), Tyler Pohn (high jump and triple jump), and Adam Rabushka (400 and 4x400 relay) were double winners.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Single event winners were Michael Fosco (3200), Makoto Bowering (800), Graham Johnson (300 intermediate hurdles), Alex Gold (1,600), Artie Bess (shot put) and Justin Manuel (discus). Also taking top honors were the 4x800 relay team (Jack Umlauf, Jordan Abosch, Patrick Brunk and Tristen Nunez), the 4x100 relay squad (Tyler Vajdic, Luke Williams, and Geoff Heiser), the 4x200 relay (Heiser, Middlebrook, Brett Freedberg and Luke Williams) and the 4x400 quartet (Williams, Middlebrook, Nunez and Rabushka).

Who’s Next:   The Warriors head to the Streamwood Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday. 

The Bottom Line:      Before the meet, Coach Jeremy Kauffman introduced all seniors letting the crowd know where they were heading to college and what they intended to study. The Warriors have climbed to No. 8 in team in Illinois, according to rankings in the Chicago Sun Times.
