Deerfield to Host Chicago Bears Youth Football Camp

Learn to play the Chicago Bears way at this no-contact football instruction camp for youths 6 to 14 years old. The camp will be held July 8-12 at Trinity International University in Deerfield.

With former Chicago Bears like Macey Brooks, Allan Ellis, Kris Haines, Al Harris, Jim Morrissey and Mickey Pruitt providing support, Chicago Bears Youth Football Camps will return this summer 19 locations, including a camp at Trinity International University (Meyer Sports Complex) in Deerfield.

The camp will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 8-12. Register now for the early bird cost of $359.

Chicago Bears Youth Football Camps provide non-contact instruction to kids from ages 6 to 14 years old. With professional coaches and Chicago Bears Heroes, kids learn to run, throw, catch, defend and compete the Bears way.

All programs provide football non-contact instruction, athletic skill development, fitness and agility training.

"It’s football—designed by the Chicago Bears and fit for kids," said Executive Director Tom Finks.

"Experienced players benefit from our Accelerated Skills program. Newcomers gain skills and confidence from our Comprehensive Skills program. And we even host a significant number of kids that use our camps to cross train for sports like hockey and baseball."

Chicago Bears Youth Football Camps trained over 2,000 kids last summer. All camps feature outdoor football training as well as indoor classroom activities and interactive education sessions.

There is nothing historical about this house. The historical house was torn down in order to buildRead More a modern house which vaguely resembles the home that was owned by Lyman Wilmot. But calling this new construction "an important part of the history of Deerfield" is a travesty.

Mara, So sorry you feel this way. We feel that this really improves the neighborhood. Tried toRead More keep much of old structure, but Igor's rehab and lack of upkeep, made it impossible. couldn't even keep floors, all warped from water and walls full of mold. City did nothing to stop Igor from combining two distinct properties. I am having a champagne lunch Wed. June 19, 11:30 to 1:30. Would love for you to come and see the house. Maybe that will change your mind. Annette Kalcheim

Annette - my first statement was "beautiful house" so I have no qualms with your outcome -Read More however, this is a re-do, re-creation not the original house. But good luck! I am sure you will find a buyer quickly!
