DHS Athletes Make College Commitments

Two members of the Deerfield High School girls’ swimming team and two athletes from the girls’ tennis team as well as a former Warrior tennis player committed over the last week to continue competing at the college level next fall.

—will dive for the University of Notre Dame while teammate and swimmer Barbara Brottman will compete for Rutgers University.

“They put in a lot of hard work in the past and this is their reward,” Swimming Coach John Sullivan said. “They’ve got a great opportunity for themselves. I’m very proud of them.”

A pair of Warriors who are fresh off the State Tennis Meet—Mindy Borovsky and Jorie Fox—will play college tennis. Borovsky will be part of the team at Washington University in St. Louis while Fox heads to Colgate.

Alexis Casati, who played tennis for Deerfield last year but skipped her senior season, will play tennis for the University of Illinois.
