DHS Students Help Animal Shelters

Charity drive runs through Oct. 3.

The following information is provided by Township High School District 113

From now through October 3rd, Student Outreach Services will again be running our annual Hands to Paws charity drive to benefit area animal shelters.  This is a chance for us to help a voiceless population that is often overlooked, but in a tough economy continues to need our support.  SOS is looking to collect the following donations: dog/cat food (wet/dry); kitty litter; dog/cat toys; newspapers, cleaning products appropriate for an animal shelter (bleach, paper towels, etc.); blankets.

Students can help the cause in one of two ways: make a donation of any of the above in one of the collection boxes that will be set up soon near either the front school entrance, rear entrance, or library.  You can also bring any donations to X-117. If you have a homeroom, encourage members of your homeroom to bring in any of the above throughout the drive.

Even a little bit goes a long way for our area animal shelters, so thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide.
