DHS Swimmers Fall to Glenbrook North
Powell and wins two events and Stitcher takes diving. Boys' golfers place fifth at Vernon Hills.

The Final Score: Glenbrook North 106, Deerfield 80
Warriors’ Star Performers: Ruby Powell won the 100-yard freestyle and the 100 backstroke while Christine Stitcher took the diving competition.

Other Notable Warrior Performances: Barbara Brottman earned second place finishes in the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle. Lynn Mallory was second in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 while Becca Rosenberg was runner-up in the 100 breaststroke. Lauren Kurzydlo grabbed third in the 200 and 500 freestyles. Third place honors also went to Emily Hansen in the 100 butterfly and Lily Booker in the 100 backstroke.
Who’s Next: The Warriors swim at Highland Park at 5 p.m. Friday.

Boys’ Golf
The Final Score: Deerfield finished fifth in the Vernon Hills Invitational with 334 points.
Warriors’ Star Performer: Eric Bagg paced Deerfield with an 80 to finish 11th while Jack Dickman’s 81 was good for 14th.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Jacob Krugman earned 10th with an 84, Sam Gasciogne was 29th with an 89 and Nick Kenyon’s 90 put him in 35th.
Who’s Next: The Warriors compete in the St. Viator Regional Tuesday.
