District 109 Earns Academic Excellence Award

Local schools honored for academic achievements.

Not one or two but all six schools earned 2010 Academic Excellence Awards.

Handed out by the Illinois State Board of Education, the award recognizes the top schools in the state. This is the third consecutive year all District 109 schools have obtained the honor.

“Each school has its own unique character and personality,” District 109 Superintendent Dr. Renee Goier said. “But these awards prove that all District 109 schools are equal in their high level of academic achievement and their commitment to providing an excellent education to every student.”
