A public hearing on the Deerfield Public Schools District 109 Budget will be held during a Board of Education meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the District office, according to the Board’s agenda.
At the Board meeting July 22, the initial report on the budget projected a $200,000 surplus on a $48.7 million spending plan. The forecast is the ninth straight year of spending less than revenue after 13 years of deficits.
Also on the agenda Monday is recognition of the achievement of Destination Imagination, other financial issues and an update in teaching and learning in the schools.
