Each library at Deerfield Public Schools District 109’s four elementary schools will receive 25 new I-Pads as the result of a $70,000 grant from the Deerfield Education Foundation, according to a news release from the Foundation.
With the newest grant, the Foundation has now approved more than $100,000 of non taxpayer money for the six schools within the District.
The I-Pads will “empower research activities, group learning, artifact production, eBook creation, and audio and camera features to extend learning with multimedia,” according to the release. This grant is part of the commitment of the Foundation to science, technology and engineering.
"The Foundation is excited to be funding grants that will positively impact all the students of District 109,” Foundation President Holly Aaronson said in the release. She hopes to do more and is seeking additional donations from the community to do so.
