District 113 Bonds for Sale

Voters approved an $89 million referendum in April for building improvements.

This week, ads were published in various media outlets notifying individual investors of the opportunity to buy District 113's $49 million worth of referendum-approved bonds.

Township High School District 113, which includes Highland Park and Deerfield high schools, has received a Aaa credit rating from Moody's.

The district sought a rating from Moody's Investor Service after voters approved an $89 million referendum in April for improvements at Highland Park and Deerfield high schools.

“District 113 and the Board of Education put great emphasis on conservative decision making and fiscal responsibility,” said District 113 Supt. George Fornero.

“Top credit ratings from Moody’s and S&P will help District 113 qualify for the lowest interest rates available when issuing bonds," he said.

District 113 is one of ten school districts in Illinois to have triple A ratings from Moody’s and S&P. It is one of only three high school districts in the state to obtain both triple A ratings.
