April 27 2011 - A community discussion will be held at Deerfield High School at 7 pm for teens and adults to work and learn together on redefining the social construction of race. In promoting a closer relationship between adults and teens, the topic of race will allow for personal growth and understanding in an exploration of the past and present of Deerfield’s involvement with race.

“I had never really thought about these things until I looked over the material for the discussion. It pushes me to think a whole different way. It is a challenging agenda.” One student says.
