"Holy Cow! What was so GREAT about that Fire??"

It's the 140th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire and Professor David Groeninger from the College of Lake County visits the Library for a family program all about the Fire.  See maps and illustrations, hear great stories and learn just how much we owe that darn cow.  Some say that people in Deerfield saw the glow of the flames from the roof of their barns!  Co-sponsored by the Deerfield Area Historical Society.  Please register in advance in person, by phone (847-945-3311) or online at www.deerfieldlibrary.org.
