Supporting Students with Autism
Presented by Emily Rubin, MS, CCC-SLP, this program on supporting students with autism using strategies from the SCERTS® model is designed for families of children with autism, teachers, administration, and support staff.
SCERTS® is an innovative educational model for working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. This model is not exclusive of other treatment approaches and methodologies but provides specific guidelines for helping a child become a competent and confident social communicator, while preventing problem behaviors that interfere with learning and the development of relationships.
