According to the Center for Disease Control, every third person in the United States will develop diabetes. That means that more than 6000 of our Deerfield friends and neighbors will be treated for the disease - and it is all preventable through education. Co-sponsored by Whitehall of Deerfield, local diabetes expert Steve Freed will discuss how to prevent diabetes and improve the lives of those with diabetes. The first 10 people who register and attend will receive a free pedometer from Whitehall of Deerfield.
