Warriors Star Performers:  Hayley Beinlich scored three goals and assisted on two others. Carly Sternberg put three balls in the net as well.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Haley Bess added a pair of goals, controlled five draws and four loose balls. Angela Caseli recorded a block and an interception while goalie Rebecca Schraiber saved seven of nine shots that came her way.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Vernon Hills at 7:30 p.m. today and entertain Highland Park at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. 

April 28 

Badminton 

The Final Score:        The Warriors finished third in the Central Suburban League meet behind champion New Trier and Glenbrook South securing a second tie with the Titans in the final conference standings. 

Warriors Star Performers:  Katie Frankel took the No. 5 singles crown and teamed with Allyson Kolpas to take the No. doubles event. Other singles champions for Deerfield were Cara Silverman (No. 2 singles), Erica Joseph (No. 4 singles) and Sydney Glassman (No. 11 singles).

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Earning singles runner up honors were Kolpas (No. 6 singles) and Jamie Rosenbaum (No. 9 singles). The tandems of Glassman and Colleen Hogan (No. 4 doubles) along with Rosenbaum and Zoe Sinton (No. 5 doubles) also placed second.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors open play in the Sectional Tournament Thursday at Deerfield.
