The Bottom Line: Deerfield took the lead in the first half buy Evanston rallied to tie the contest near the end of regulation, 14-14. The Wildkits scored first in the initial half of the opening overtime period. The Warriors then scored twice in the last three minutes to secure the victory. “The girls beautifully executed our plays on offense during the game and our defense had great transition from man to man to a zone defense,” Coach Kristen Sheahen said.

The Final Score: Deerfield finished tied for fifth out of 32 teams in this rain shortened incomplete event.
Warriors Star Performers: Top seeded breezed past three opponents in No. 1 singles in straight sets to reach the semifinals before rain ended his tournament. In No. 1 doubles, Toby Ma teamed with Jack Kasbeer to drop only three games in a pair of straight set victories to reach the quarter finals before the weather cut their tourney short.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: George Vanderkloot and Andrew Pekin took their first match at No. 2 doubles before falling in the consolation bracket to exit the tournament.
