McKendrick To Become Warrior Hoop Coach

District 113 Board scheduled to vote on McKendrick's appointment Monday.

Dan McKendrick’s appointment as the next head basketball coach at is on the agenda of Monday’s Township High School District 113 Board meeting, according to Communications Director Natalie Kaplan.

McKendrick, 31, has coached the Warrior sophomore team the last four years, assisted on the varsity and freshman levels for five years before that, teaches in the math department and is a basketball lifer, according to a story in the Lake County News Sun.

“Basketball is a passion with me,” McKendrick said in the News Sun article. “Coaching is an addictive thing.  Everything about it is a blast.” Before joining the Deerfield faculty, he played college basketball at Trinity International University in Bannockburn.
