Natalie Salk and Katie Hoffman became Deerfield High School’s official Deerfield Idols Wednesday in one of the annual highlight’s of the School Chest campaign benefitting the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) this year.

Gabi Browdy was the runner up in this contest which drew 15 different acts. “We had a lot of talented students perform,” Student Activities Director Brian Verisario said. “They sang, danced, and played the guitar, piano and ukulele, a great night of fundraising for GLASA.”

Events continue this week with the Mr. DHS competition at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and a Mah Jongg night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

There will also be a number of in school events geared specifically for students, according to Sam Bricker, one of the two event chairs along with Hannah Brockstein. More information is available on the School Chest Facebook page and online donations are welcome, according to Bricker. Click here.
