Sports Digest: Hockey Team Crushes Giants, Wrestlers Continue Domination

Warriors Star Performers:  Mason Rosenberg scored four goals and Henri Beaudion had a hat trick with three. Beaudion also had two assists and Rosenberg added one. 

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Spenser Delman added two goals and four assists while Mike Wiggemansen contributed a goal. Also chipping in with assists were Robbie Friend (3), Steven Mages and Eric Schmidt. Goalie Adam Serck had 22 saves.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors entertain Carmel at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Buffalo Grove. 

The Bottom Line:      Jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first seven minutes, the game was never in doubt. The Warriors are now 22-1-4 for the season. For more details see Dylon Field’s blog on Patch. 

Wrestling 

The Final Score:        Deerfield 49, Elk Grove 21; Deerfield 42, Stevenson 21 

Warriors Star Performers:  Ari Sapinsley (152 and 160) and JJ Nawrot (Heavyweight) were Deerfield’ two double winners. 

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Other victors were Alex Cimaglia (126), Jeff Spinello (132), Brian McCann (145), Brady Glantz (138), Colton Emmerich (170), Jim Kirby (195), Andrew Mehrholz (106), Jordan Lieberman (113), Joey Bloom (120) and Brian Spinello (126).

Who’s Next:   The Warriors compete in the Central Suburban League Meet Friday and Saturday at Niles West. 

The Bottom Line:      Deerfield improved its dual meet record to 22-2 in the Stevenson meet.
