The Bottom Line: The Warriors had individual title winner, the most in the meet. Nawrot and Kirby pinned their first two opponents before taking their crown on decisions. Hanusa earned a championship on three decisions yielding only three points in three matches. Merholz pinned his first opponent before dominating his next two foes 14-2 and 17-0. Lieberman won his opening bout with a pin before taking the next fights by decision.
The Final Score: Deerfield finished ninth out of 19 teams.
Warriors’ Star Performers: Christine Stitcher took second on the balance beam (9.1) while Katie Marquardt took 10th in the vault (8.55).
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Haley Tomkiewicz scored 8.1 on vault, Emily Berlin accumulated an 8.0 on the beam, Alyssa Brill tallied 7.8 in floor exercise, Maren Gelfond turned in a 7.65 on floor, Ally Perbohner earned 7.9 on unevel parallel bars while Allison Schneider notched 7.35.

The Bottom Line: With three varsity regulars unable to compete Saturday, Coach Carol Myers used four varsity athletes and another four from the junior varsity in this competition which requires eight gymnasts.
