Viewfinder: Kipling Plays Performed by Professional Actors

Students recently had a crash course in play writing, and Friday was their products' premiere.

This past January, Child's Play Touring Theatre professional actors came to and taught students how to write a play.  On Friday, to the kids' excitement, they returned to perform the plays the students submitted.

Sponsored by the Kipling PTO, the nationally-traveling troupe encouraged the first- through fifth-grade students to create "green" themed scripts, keeping in line with curricula they cover throughout the year with their teachers.

Child's Play reviewed the creations, selected winners, rehearsed, and Friday, as a surprise to the student body, announced the winners and performed premieres of three original Kipling plays.
