The Bottom Line: Highland Park outpointed Deerfield 7-5 in overtime as Giant Danny Dlugie sank a three point field goal with two seconds remaining in the extra two minutes. Deerfield trained by two points at the end of three periods, 25-23, but knotted the contest, 30-30, at the end of regulation to send it into overtime. Highland Park held a one-point edge, 10-9, at the end of the first quarter but the Warriors scratched out a 15-14 lead at intermission. Deerfield is now 10-13 for the season and 4-5 in the Central Suburban League North Division.
