Season Outlook:                  After winning the league title two of the last three seasons, Coach Jeff Beaumont hopes this is the year a number of Warriors reach the State Meet. McIntyre has already thrown a qualifying distance in the shot put during the indoor season and Stitcher, who Beaumont calls, “The most talented athlete in our school,” was very close a year ago. Stitcher has already participated in state meets in diving and gymnastics. Dorfman, Gold and Johnson also have the potential to reach the State Finals, according to Beaumont.

Beaumont calls Deerfield’s depth its strongest asset. “We have some star quality individuals who can earn points in any invite,” he said. “It’s nice to let them do their thing and still have quality talent to fill in relays and other events. We have girls with big goals this year, and we’re hoping they get the chance to compete on the biggest stage of the year.”
