Warrior Gymnasts Place 5th, Edge Maine South

Christine Stitcher wins floor title at Rolling Meadows.

The Final Score: finished fifth in the Rolling Meadows Invitational with 65.85 points.

Warriors Star Performer: finished first in floor exercise with a 9.5.

Other Notable Warrior Performances: Allison Schneider took eighth in the vault with an 8.5 score.

Who’s Next: The Warriors entertain Niles North at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Bottom Line: Stitcher and Schneider provided the push to put Deerfield in fifth place out of 20 teams.

The Final Score: Deerfield 131.85, Maine South 131.6

Warriors Star Performer: Stitcher scored over 9 points on vault, balance beam and floor exercise to pace her team.

Other Notable Warrior Performances: scored 8.55 on vault and 8.8 on floor while Ally Perbohner contributed an 8.2 on parallel bars.

The Bottom Line: A strong performance for Stitcher, Hogan and the rest of the floor team kept the Hawks at bay for a narrow win.
