Warriors Star Performer:    scored Deerfield’s goal and Bailey Bradford had nine saves for her seventh shutout of the year.

Other Notable Warrior Performance:        Amanda Imyak had an assist while. Emily Kellow, JoElla Guagliardo and Claire Mulert provided additional offensive punch, according to Coach Rich Grady.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Maine East at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. 

The Bottom Line:      The Warriors outshot the Vikings 23-11and were rewarded in the 64th minute when Imyak found Amanda Kellow open for the game’s only score. Deerfield is not 5-3-7 for the season. 

Tennis 

The Final Score:        Deerfield 7, Niles West 0 

Warriors Star Performer:    Tim Klabjan (No. 3 singles) as well as No. 1 doubles team of George Vanderkloot and Andrew Pekin blanked their opponents, 6-0, 6-0.

Other Notable Warrior Performance:        and Noah Rosenblat (No. 2) singles earned victories. Other doubles winners were the tandems of Lee Ratner and Zach Keeshin (No. 2), Nate Klein and Sam Sylvan (No. 3) as well as Jared Gupta and Harry Skaletsky (No. 4).

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Highland Park at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. 

The Bottom Line:      The Warriors won every match against the Wolves taking six of seven in straight sets. 

Volleyball 

The Final Score:        Highland Park defeated Deerfield, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23 

Warriors Star Performer:    Adam Nadler had 16 kills and a pair of blocks while Kenison Ready chipped in with 10 kills and three blocks.

Other Notable Warrior Performance:        John Harlan notched seven kills while blocking two shots. Scott Laner dished out 25 assists while Ross Lehrman contributed 18 digs.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors entertain Maine West at 6 p.m. Thursday. 

The Bottom Line:      After dropping the first set, the Warriors took the second to even the match before falling by two points in the third. 

Girls’ Water Polo 

The Final Score:        Glenbrook North 13, Deerfield-Highland Park 6 

Warrior-Giants Star Performer:     Melissa Barraza made a major contribution, according to Coach Kyle Iverson.

Who’s Next:   The Warrior-Giants entertain Rolling Meadows at 7 p.m. today.
