Warrior Swimmers Dunk Niles North

Brottman, Powell and Stitcher help provide more than half the Deerfield High School swim team's points.

The Final Score:  Deerfield 100, Niles North 77

Warriors’ Star Performers:             Barbara Brottman and Ruby Powell combined for seven first place finishes either in individual events or as members of relay reams.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Christine Stitcher, Becca Rosenberg, Mallory Lynn, Maddie Wilson, Marcy Kreda and Haley Seldin were also winners either as individuals or as relay participants.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors compete in the Central Suburban League North Division meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Maine East in Park Ridge.

The Bottom Line:      Brottman won the 200-yard freestyle as well as the 500 freestyle. She teamed with Powell, Rosenberg and Lynn to take the 200 medley relay and then joined Lynn, Kreda and Seldin to take the 200 freestyle relay. Powell also won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Stitcher took the diving competition by nearly 100 points (99.8) while Wilson captured the 200 individual medley.
