Warrior Swimmers Return Three State Qualifiers

Senior leadership holds key to Deerfield's success in the pool.

Last Year’s Record:              5-0 in the Central Suburban League North Division and 7-2 overall. 

Last Year’s Highlights:         The Warriors won the league title before finishing fourth in Sectionals and 12th in the State Meet. 

Season Opener:                     Deerfield opens its season at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Forest Invitational.

Top Returning Warriors:     Barbara Brottman, Ruby Powell and Christine Stitcher.

Leading Newcomers:              Lauren Kurzydlo and Grace Frankel. 

Season Outlook:                    Brottman, Powell and Stitcher all qualified for last year’s State Meet and are expected to do at least as well this season. “A good senior class that will lead the team, we have a lot of holes to fill in the varsity line up and will need the team to step up to the challenge if we are going to be successful,” Coach John Sullivan said.
