Warrior Swimmers Swamp Maine West

Brottman and Mallory are triple winners for Deerfield High School swim squad.

The Final Score:  Deerfield 101, Maine West 73

Warriors’ Star Performers:             Barbara Brottman won a pair of individual events—the 500-yard freestyle and the 200 freestyle—and was part of a winning relay team. Mallory Lynn won the 50 freestyle and joined two winning relays.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Double winners were Anna Jakubek and Marcy Kreda. Other individual victors were Christine Stitcher and Maddie Wilson.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors entertain Niles North at 5 p.m. Friday.

The Bottom Line:      Brottman joined Becca Rosenberg, Ruby Powell and Lynn Mallory to win the 200 medley relay in addition to her individual victories. Along with taking the 50-freetyle, Malory teamed with Kreda, Jacubek and Haley Seldin to win the 200 freestyle relay. Stitcher remained undefeated as a diver besting teammate Maya Strauss in second place by more than 70 points. Wilson captured the 100 freestyle.
