Warriors Open Basketball Season

Deerfield boys' team stops Palatine, 52-43. Starts season with new coach and one returning starter.

 boys’ basketball team opened its season this week including games in the Ed Molitor Tournament in Palatine under the direction of new Head Coach J.J. Pearl including a game at 2 p.m. tomorrow against Lake Zurich. 

In the tourney opener Wednesday, the Warriors defeated Palatine, 52-43. They fell to Waubonsie Valley earlier in their season opener.

The Warriors return only one starter from last year’s team, 6-2 forward , but have five players returning with varsity experience. They are seniors, Andrew Levitz, , Tyler Hirano and Connor Shields.
