The Final Score:        48, Glenbrook North 42 (Overtime) 

Warriors Star Performers:  led Deerfield with 15 points while added 13 points including the basket that sent the game into overtime. He also grabbed five rebounds and contributed three assists.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and a pair of assists. 

Who’s Next:   Deerfield travels to Maine East at 7:30 p.m. Friday. 

The Bottom Line:      Clutch eight for 12 free throw shooting in overtime gave the Warriors most of their points in the two minute period to knock the 23rd state ranked Spartans from the ranks of the undefeated. The Spartans held a two-point lead with 1:30 to play in regulation when Alfieri tied the game to send it into overtime. Glenbrook North charged into a 15-4 first quarter lead before Deerfield went on a 10-0 second period run to tie the contest 24-24 by halftime. The Warriors are now 3-4 for the season and 1-1 in the Central Suburban League North Division. 

Gymnastics

Dec. 6 

The Final Score:        Deerfield 132.55, Niles North 126.7 

Warriors Star Performer:    won the all around competition (35.65), floor exercise (9.4), balance beam (8.6), vault (8.7) and placed second in the uneven parallel bars (8.95).

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       scored a 9.05 to place second in the floor exercise and finished behind Stitcher in vault as well. was fourth all around and third in the vault.

Who’s Next:   Deerfield travels to the Conant Invitational today.

The Bottom Line:      Stitcher continues to lead a strong team effort for the Warriors.
