Warriors Take Second in Track Invitational

Rabushka, Katz lead the way.

The Final Score:        1. New Trier 129.5, , 3. Glenbard East 94, 4. Highland Park 70, 5. Maine East 49, 6. Maine West 31.5, 7. Waukegan 1.

Warriors Star Performers:   won the 50 high hurdles in record time (6.3), took second in the 400 (53.1) and third in the 50 low hurdles (6.8).  notched three seconds—triple jump (44’), 50 high hurdles (6.5), 50 low hurdles (6.7)—and a third in the long jump (20-3¾). The 4x160 relay team of Geoff Heiser, Donald Middlebrook, Brett Freedberg and Luke Williams was victorious in 1:16.7.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Mokoto Bowering grabbed third in the 800 (2:05.6). The 1,600 relay of Tristan Nunez, Middlebrook, Bowering and Williams  finished second (3:31.6) while the 3200 relay  Nunez, Jordan Abosch, Patrick Brunk, Jack Umlauf was third (8:40.4).

Who’s Next:   The Warriors   travel to Highland Park at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Bottom Line:      Rabushka and Katz along with the relay teams provided the points necessary to propel the Warriors to a second place finish in the 46thannual Maine East Relays.
