Warriors Star Performers:              Donald Middlebrook won the pole vault and 400-meter dash as well as finishing second in the 200. Alex Gold was the 3,200 champion and the runner up in the 1,600.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Deerfield’s other double finisher was Chris Douglas with fourth place in the 110 high hurdles and the 300 intermediate hurdles. Third place finishes went to Dominick Dibenedetto in the shot put and Jordan Abosch in the 1,600. Fifth place awards were earned by Patrick Johnson in the discus, Sam Modro in the long jump and Brett Freedberg in the 100 while sixth-place honors went to Connor Oriot in the long jump, Matt Pigott in the high jump, Charles Nash in the 800 and Joe Newhall in the 300 hurdles.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors compete in the Streamwood Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Soccer 

The Final Score:        York 3, Deerfield 1

Warriors Star Performer:    Emily Kellow scored the Deerfield goal.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Amanda Imyak and Trishie Schweinfurth assisted on the Deerfield goal. 

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Niles West at 6:30 p.m. today. 

The Bottom Line:      Deerfield took a 1-0 lead on Kellow’s goal but Niles West answered twice before intermission to go ahead, 2-1. The Warriors are 4-2 for the season.

April 5 

Volleyball 

The Final Score:        Deerfield defeated Maine West, 26-24 and 25-18.

Warriors Star Performers:  John Harlan recorded 10 kills along with a pair of aces and two digs while Jordan Fine dished out 31 assists and chipped in five digs. Zach Hara had nine kills and seven digs

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Eli Schmidt contributed seven kills while Jake Brody had eight digs and two assists. 

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Highland Park at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
