Without an indoor track of their own and getting limited use of the facilities at Highland Park High School, Kauffman was happy with the team’s performance. He longs for the outdoor season. “Once we get outdoors and can start using all the athletes on this team it could be a very exciting outdoor season,” he said.

Alex Gold was Deerfield’s top individual performer winning the 3,200 meter run and taking second in the 1,600. Second place honors went to Chris Douglas in the 50 high hurdles and 50 low hurdles as well as Dominic Dibenedetto in the shot put.
