Warriors Star Performer:    Goalie Bailey Bradford’s diving save kept the game scoreless in the first half.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Claire Mulert, Maddy Otto, Jill Noeh and Amanda Kellow provided solid defense to help keep the Titans off the scoreboard.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Lane Tech at 4:45 p.m. Monday. 

The Bottom Line:      In a game of defense and solid goaltending, Trishie Schweinfurth nearly gave the Warriors a one-goal victory in the second half but the tally was nullified when officials ruled she fouled the Glenbrook South goaltender, according to Coach Rich Grady. Deerfield is 2-0-1 for the season. 

Gymnastics 

March 16 

The Final Score:        Deerfield finished sixth among 12 teams at the Leyden Invitational with 112.4 points. 

Warriors Star Performers:  Brian Spinello finished fourth in floor exercise with a 9.1 and a personal best all around score of 38.9. Jeff Spinello’s 37.1 all around scored was a career high.

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Lucas Beslow and Weston Schott had their best outings of the season.

Who’s Next:   The Giant-Warriors travel to Niles West at 6 p.m. April 3. 

The Bottom Line:      Competing without a number of athletes, the Giant –Warriors gave a good showing according to Coach Doug Foerch. “I was personally very pleased with how well the guys did,” he said.
