Basketball Legends to host Deerfield Park District Camps

Students in fourth through twelfth grade are invited to register for August basketball camps, presented by Hoops4Health, at the Deerfield Park District.

Dee Brown Guard Camp

Dee Brown, who has played in the NBA for the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks, will lead a camp at the Sachs Recreational Center at 455 Lake Cook Rd. from 1-6 p.m. Aug. 12-13. 

Dee Brown will be at the camp working hands-on with all the players and providing the tips and drills necessary to become an elite level guard.

Bill Cartwright Big Man Camp

Former Chicago Bulls player and head coach Bill Cartwright's basketball camp will be held 1-6 p.m. Aug. 14-15 at the Sachs Recreational Center.

Cartwright will be on-site working with students and providing tips and drills necessary to become an elite level forward/center.

The top 10 guards in each division of Brown's camp will be selected to play in the All Star Game with the top 10 Bigs from Cartwright's camp on Aug. 16 at the Sachs Recreation Center.

Registration

Both camps will have groups organized by age. There is a maximum of 75 participants. Cost is $175 per student with registration paid before July 1, and $195 after July 1.
