Teams with up to six golfers (all levels, 21 years of age and up) may register now to be among the 100 or so participants at Deerfield Park Foundation’s Annual Moonlight Golf Outing, set for Friday, September 16. The outing begins at 5:45 p.m., with contests for prizes and a complete sit-down dinner with shrimp/steak, sides and more, at Deerfield Golf Club, in Riverwoods. The event features "glow-in-the-dark" golf, hitching a ride on a hay wagon out to most starting holes and walking/playing five holes of golf (with no more than four clubs). Beverages, dessert, raffles, and silent auction add to the fun!
The contribution per team for Moonlight Golf (deductible to the extent allowed by law) is $480 per team, $400* if paid by August 31. Deerfield Park Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, presents this outing which is their largest annual fundraiser, helping to provide funds for grants-in-aid (scholarships); recycling containers for park/school locations; updating of the area’s ThorGuard Lightning Prediction System, Free Swimming on July 4th at two outdoor pools, sponsoring free entertainment for everyone at the September Community Services Day event and more.
