YMCA Grand Re-Opening Celebration

The North Suburban YMCA will offer a cavalcade of free activities for all ages at its Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 16 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The festive afternoon, open to the entire community, will feature fitness class demonstrations, dance programs, art activities, open swim time, and much more. The activities will give guests the opportunity to explore the newly-renovated YMCA, which recently completed a $1.7 million improvement project.

“The goal of the Celebration is bring the whole community together to enjoy our facility,” said Sari Glazebrook, NSYMCA membership director. “People who haven’t visited us in a while are going to be really surprised and excited about the new look of our building. At the same time, the day’s activities will give our guests an engaging taste of all the programs available at our Y.”

As a special challenge during the celebration, each guest will be given a “Blueprint for Health” card highlighting different activities during the party. Guests who complete the activities will be eligible for special prize drawings. The afternoon will also include live entertainment, free food, membership promotions, and family games. Kids in the pool will enjoy testing their skills on the Wibit inflatable obstacle course.
