Former standout took part in an all star track meet Saturday in Joliet representing a team from Illinois against top competitors from Iowa and Wisconsin.
Katz, who took part in the shuttle hurdle relay after graduating from Deerfield May 30, participated in his last meet as a high school athlete before he and most of the others in the meet become Division I college competitors. Katz will run and jump at Dartmouth College.
Katz was the only Warrior in the meet. It is only for seniors.
