Kearney Wins Two State Swim Titles for Coho

Deerfield swimmer paces club team at State Meet

Chris Kearney won a pair of state championships and earned a second place medal at the State Long Course Swimming Meet Thursday through Sunday as part of the , according to information on the team’s website.

Competing in the 13-14 age group, Kearney won the 50-meter freestyle in 25.79 and took the 100 freestyle in 55.27, both record times. He was also second in the 200 freestyle with a clocking of 2:01.93.

Kearney joined with Ryan Smith, Brent Bouslog and Evan Fischoff to place second in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:56.1. Smith earned his own runner up medal behind Kearney in the 50 freestyle with a 25.81 performance.
