Park District Seeks Adults for Athletic Teams

Are you an adult who enjoys playing softball, volleyball or basketball? The Deerfield Park District has openings for adult leagues (age 18+) for the upcoming season.

Depending upon the league, seasons vary from May through July for all softball leagues; June through July for the co-rec volleyball league; and June through August for men’s basketball leagues.

All softball league games will be held at Clavey Park. All volleyball and basketball leagues take place at the Sachs Recreation Center.

League application and waiver forms are available on-line at www.deerfieldparks.org.

League fees vary and each requires a refundable $50 deposit. Solo players may request to be placed on the district’s solo list. Contact Athletic Supervisor Jim Gariti at (847) 572-2627 or e-mail jimg@deerfieldparks.org for any league-related information.

• The Summer Adult Co-Rec 14” Softball Leagues are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with 6:30-7:30 p.m. game times. The league fee is $600. Each league plays ten regular season games plus playoffs. The season begins the week of May 6 and runs through the week of July 22.

• The Adult 12” Softball Leagues run between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. and include a “B” league on Tuesdays, May 7-July 30 and a “C” league on Wednesdays, May 8-July 31. Each league fee is $675. Each league plays 10 regular season games plus playoffs. 

• The Over 50 12” Softball League meets on Thursdays, May 7-July 30, with games between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. The league fee is $475. Teams play 10 regular season games plus playoffs.
