VIDEO: Pagano is Warriors "Mr. Everything"

Senior Mark Pagano has lined up at just about every offensive position this season for DHS.

Marc Pagano may only stand at 5'8" and he may only weigh 150 pounds, but his importance to the Deerfield football team is beyond measure.

"He's our Mr. Everything," Warriors Head Coach Steve Winiecki said.

Pagano has certainly lived up to that nickname so far this season. The senior captain has been the most important part of the Warriors offensive attack so far this season. He returns kicks. He returns punts. He's a duel threat halfback who can beat you by taking handoffs or catching the ball out of the backfield.

And when Deerfield was missing starting quarterback Brad Holway for the first three weeks of the season, Pagano took the snaps, even though he had never played quarterback before.

In his first game under center, Pagano ran for 54 yards and scored two touchdowns in a .  He finally returned to the slot in week four against Waukegan and ran for 103 yards and scored two touchdowns, helping the Warriors earn their .

"It felt great to get that first win," Pagano said. "Now we have Brad back and that definitly gives us more confidence on offense. Now we can start rolling from here in the conference."
